The Snoozeluxe Lounge Orthopaedic Dog Bed is built for dogs that like to rest their head on a raised edge or lean against a side while sleeping. A single integrated headrest provides light positional support without significantly reducing the sleeping surface - making the Lounge a versatile choice for dogs that occasionally seek a boundary but still need room to stretch and reposition.

Orthopaedic Support That Lasts

At the heart of every Snoozeluxe bed is a high-resilience polyurethane foam mattress with a density of 40 kg/m³ - the same specification used in high-quality human seating and mattresses. This density is chosen for a specific reason: it maintains its structure under continuous load, distributing your dog's weight evenly and reducing pressure on hips, shoulders and elbows.

Unlike the low-density foam found in many conventional dog beds, HR foam does not quickly compress and flatten. It retains its support characteristics for years, making it a genuinely long-term investment rather than a product that needs frequent replacement.

The increased thickness in larger sizes provides additional cushioning for heavier dogs and helps ensure long-term comfort under greater body weight.

A Mattress Protector Included as Standard

Most dog beds place the foam directly inside the outer cover - meaning every spill, accident or muddy paw comes into direct contact with the foam core. Once foam absorbs moisture or odour, it is extremely difficult to clean, and the bed's hygiene and comfort deteriorate over time.

Snoozeluxe takes a different approach. Every bed includes a dedicated internal mattress protector made from 65% polyester / 35% combed cotton with a waterproof PU coating. This protector surrounds the foam and acts as a barrier against moisture and liquids, dirt and debris, accident absorption and long-term odour build-up.

The protector is removable and machine washable at 30°C, making routine maintenance simple and keeping the foam in clean condition for far longer.

Cordura® - Built for Daily Punishment

The outer cover is constructed from Cordura® high-tenacity polyamide fabric, a technical material originally developed for outdoor equipment, protective gear and demanding luggage applications. The Cordura® fabric used in Snoozeluxe beds achieves over 200,000 Martindale abrasion cycles - a standard of durability that far exceeds typical residential upholstery fabrics.

In practical terms, this means the cover can withstand daily scratching, turning, digging and friction without pilling, tearing or losing its structure. Despite its exceptional toughness, the fabric remains flexible and comfortable to the touch.

The cover is OEKO-TEX® STANDARD 100 certified, machine washable at 30°C and opens fully via a 3-side YKK® zipper for easy removal and reinstallation. The Lounge cover includes 1 Velcro attachment point to secure the headrest to the mattress base.

Stable on Any Floor

A separate structured vinyl anti-slip underlay is included with every bed. Made in Germany, it sits beneath the bed and increases friction between the bed base and the floor - preventing the bed from sliding when your dog steps on or repositions within it. Compatible with parquet, tiles, laminate, vinyl, carpet and underfloor heating systems.

Modular by Design

Snoozeluxe beds are engineered as modular systems. Every component can be replaced independently:

If your dog's cover becomes worn after years of use, you replace the cover - not the entire bed. Each replacement component is available separately, extending the usable life of the product and reducing waste.

Upgradeable to Any Configuration

The Lounge bed is part of the Snoozeluxe modular system and can be upgraded if your dog's needs change:

• Corner (2 headrests) - two-sided containment
• Sofa (3 headrests) - full three-sided enclosure

Conversion kits are available separately and include everything needed to convert the bed to a new configuration.
