The Snoozeluxe Orthopaedic Crate Dog Bed is purpose-built for dog crates and confined spaces. With a reduced thickness that preserves vertical clearance inside the crate, it combines orthopaedic foam support with practical design features including secure attachment loops and anti-slip stability - making it ideal for crate environments while also suitable for low-profile use outside crates.

Orthopaedic Support That Lasts

At the heart of every Snoozeluxe bed is a high-resilience polyurethane foam mattress with a density of 40 kg/m³ - the same specification used in high-quality human seating and mattresses. This density is chosen for a specific reason: it maintains its structure under continuous load, distributing your dog's weight evenly and reducing pressure on hips, shoulders and elbows.

Unlike the low-density foam found in many conventional dog beds, HR foam does not quickly compress and flatten. It retains its support characteristics for years, making it a genuinely long-term investment rather than a product that needs frequent replacement.

The reduced thickness in crate beds preserves headroom inside the crate while maintaining structural orthopaedic support. The slightly thinner construction allows the mattress to fit comfortably in confined spaces without compromising essential cushioning.

A Mattress Protector Included as Standard

Most dog beds place the foam directly inside the outer cover - meaning every spill, accident or muddy paw comes into direct contact with the foam core. Once foam absorbs moisture or odour, it is extremely difficult to clean, and the bed's hygiene and comfort deteriorate over time.

Snoozeluxe takes a different approach. Every bed includes a dedicated internal mattress protector made from 65% polyester / 35% combed cotton with a waterproof PU coating. This protector surrounds the foam and acts as a barrier against moisture and liquids, dirt and debris, accident absorption and long-term odour build-up.

The protector is removable and machine washable at 30°C, making routine maintenance simple and keeping the foam in clean condition for far longer.

Cordura® - Built for Daily Punishment

The outer cover is constructed from Cordura® high-tenacity polyamide fabric, a technical material originally developed for outdoor equipment, protective gear and demanding luggage applications. The Cordura® fabric used in Snoozeluxe beds achieves over 200,000 Martindale abrasion cycles - a standard of durability that far exceeds typical residential upholstery fabrics.

In practical terms, this means the cover can withstand daily scratching, turning, digging and friction without pilling, tearing or losing its structure. Despite its exceptional toughness, the fabric remains flexible and comfortable to the touch.

The cover is OEKO-TEX® STANDARD 100 certified, machine washable at 30°C and opens fully via a 3-side YKK® zipper for easy removal and reinstallation. The crate bed cover includes four reinforced corner attachment loops for secure fastening inside the crate structure.

Secure Attachment Inside the Crate

The Snoozeluxe Crate Bed includes four reinforced polyester loops sewn into the corners of the cover. These attachment loops allow the bed to be securely tied to the crate frame, preventing shifting and movement during use.

The attachment system provides several practical benefits:

• secure fastening to the crate frame
• reduced movement when the dog enters or exits the crate
• increased stability during transport
• prevents sliding on smooth crate floors

This feature helps keep the bed correctly positioned even when the crate is moved or during vehicle transport.

Stable on Any Floor

A separate structured vinyl anti-slip underlay is included with every bed. Made in Germany, it sits beneath the bed and increases friction between the bed base and the floor - preventing the bed from sliding when your dog steps on or repositions within it. Compatible with metal crate floors, vehicle crate systems and all standard flooring surfaces.

Modular by Design

Snoozeluxe beds are engineered as modular systems. Every component can be replaced independently:

If your dog's cover becomes worn after years of use, you replace the cover - not the entire bed. Each replacement component is available separately, extending the usable life of the product and reducing waste.

While the Snoozeluxe Crate Bed is purpose-built for dog crates, its low-profile design also makes it suitable for other environments where a reduced-thickness mattress is preferred:

Due to its reduced thickness, the crate bed provides less elevation compared to standard Snoozeluxe orthopaedic dog beds. For maximum support and cushioning in open environments, the Flat, Lounge, Corner and Sofa models are recommended.
